The core is a super soft 120TPI rubber casing into which we have incorporated as much rubber replacement nylon as possible. The thin walls are used to reduce resistance and further reduce weight. We flanked the high density casing with a dense hoop of high tensile steel wire bead. Finally, we covered all this with BMX race-specific tread that transitions from a center tire with a large contact patch to directional knobbies on the sides. This aggressive combination provides maximum traction when moving off, tremendous cornering grip and low rolling resistance on the straights. A state-of-the-art blend of compounds is used in different areas of the apex, wall, bead seat and center, with higher silica content in the tread to again remove more weight.
